Life is Simple

If there was choosing I'd go for simplicity rather than the opposite,

For there's joy in simplicity as opposed to how we may think about the opposite. 

When you wake up each day with a single thought n that to stick to,

If you choose to live solo or wake with a woman beside n that to stick to.

To accept a company of friends that is, those to cherish n those to simply look at,

If you admit that some people need to feel loved and not to simply look at.

When you choose to make and guard a promise and that to keep to,

Even as betrayal looms you forget not, coz you got a thing to keep to.

As a husband you either choose to live with the vows or live without n that, is simple,

Not an exception to the wife who has to know that we can’t both lead n that, is simple.

To learn to abide by the societal laws is one thing to go against them is another, 

Therefore it’s a choice to live in peace with yourself and for the good of another.
