Passer by

There are 17 billion people and she fell for one who doesn't even bother.
They say time changes people but his heart was made of stone she couldn't conquer
It took her ages to believe he was just a passer by

Miles and places they had gone only to realize she had been alone all along
It is true walking beside someone never means you are together, the other must have left so long.
It took her ages to believe he was just a passer by

Sandy beaches, morning sun, roses Was nothing close to what he desired
He was was stiff as a board never leaned forward nor moved back, never smiled nor winced
It took her ages to believe he was just a passer by

In one of their adventures in an old vineyard tree, he draw a sword and threatened to stab,
She looked him in the eye and said, I'd rather die than see you go, for this I stand.
It took her ages to believe he was just a passer by
